ANONYMOUS (he/him)

Anonymous (he/him) ist ein nordafrikanischer bildender Künstler und kreativer Produzent mit Sitz in London, UK.

 Seine künstlerische Praxis erforscht und demontiert die verschiedenen Interpretationen gesellschaftlicher Vorstellungen und Anpassungen, insbesondere im Bereich der Postkolonialität, durch Performance, Installation und Bildsprache. Anonymous ist ein Künstler, der seine Arbeiten in Volume 2 von QFA präsentiert.

ABILASCHAN BALAMURALEY(they/them/he/him)

Abilaschan Balamuraley (they/them/he/him) ist Produzent:in und Moderator:in von "Maangai Podcast", dem Community-Podcast für queere südasiatische Perspektiven im deutschsprachigen Raum. Abilaschan ist Moderator:in für das queere postmigrantische Bildungskollektiv "erklär mir mal..."

 

Neben Abilaschans Arbeit als Podcaster:in und Community-Organisator:in ist Abilaschan als Diversity-Multiplikator:in aktiv und ist auch Gastgeber:in des QFA-Podcasts.

DYLAN SPENCER-DAVIDSON (he/them)

Dylan Spencer-Davidson (they/them) ist Künstler:in, Performer:in und Wissensvermittler aus Berlin. Dylans Arbeit umspannt Performance, Workshops, Video, Ton, Schreiben und dreht sich fortwährend um das Thema, wie das Zusammensein funktioniert. Während normative und gewaltbehaftete Formen von Beziehungen in Frage gestellt werden, kreiert Dylans Arbeit Raum für kollektive emotionale Prozesse, indem alternative Formen von Kommunikation und Kollaboration ausgearbeitet werden, die im Zuhören, Konsens, Verkörperung, Andersartigkeit und Verletzlichkeit. Dylan präsentiert im QFA Volume 2.

JOY MARIAMA SMITH (none/they)

Installation and performance artist, activist, dramaturg, and architectural designer. Their real name is Joy Mariama Smith (1976, United States). A native Philadelphian currently based in Amsterdam, Joy Mariama Smith’s work primarily addresses the conundrum of projected identities in various contexts.A sub-theme, or ongoing question in their work is: What is the interplay between the body and it’s physical environment? They have a multi-modal improvisational practice spanning over 25 years. When they choose to teach, they actively try to uphold inclusive spaces. Joy is an artist presenting work in Volume 2 of QFA.

JULIANA PIQUERO (she/they)

Juliana Piquero is a mother, choreographer, dancer and yoga asana instructor who was born in Buenos Aires and is based in Berlin and Madrid.  In her choreographic works she articulates socio-political issues, archival matter and biographical experiences. She is interested in themes regarding Latin American queer feminism; issues relating to her identity and to functional diversity as well as body language. She seeks for efficacy of the undefined and tries to blur boundaries between dichotomous concepts against both natural and artificial matters. Her research questions comprehension of the complexity of the body as technological device. Juliana is presenting in Vl. 2 of QFA

KATIE LEE DUNBAR (they/them)

Katie Lee Dunbar, a queer feminist performance maker, activist, and researcher residing in Berlin, delves into themes of disparity, intimacy, and the intricate relationship between the personal and political in their artistic pursuits encompassing dance, voice, memory, sound, text, and installation. Their collaborative efforts are dedicated to fostering inclusive and non-oppressive environments for dialogue and creativity, reflected in projects like arted, mitkollektiv, and currently, the artistic initator of Queer Family Album.

KAY GARNELLEN (he/him)

KAy Garnellen is a French queer/trans artist, activist, sex worker and parent living in Berlin since 2010. He mostly works in the fields of sexuality and gender through live stage performances, theatre or dance but also with workshops, photos or writings. Queer porn actor for over fifteen years he also directed a few short movies and is to be seen in a few documentaries or other non-porn movies. He loves working with other queer artists and sex workers for their inspiration, and motivation, and for developing new skills. KAy is an artist presenting in Volume 1 of QFA.

YVONNE SEMBENE (she/her)

Yvonne Sembene is a French- Senegalese- DDR dance artist based in Berlin. In addition to working with various choreographers, Yvonne develops their own projects recontextualising questions of contemporary identity through multidisciplinary forms. Yvonne is also active within the dramaturgy space and periodically is invited by groups and institutions as a critical contributor and observer. Yvonne is an artist presenting in Volume 1 of QFA.
